Cautions for multimodal transportation
1. Container inspection: Please check container carefully before loading to see whether the cargo is worthy and whether there are problems facing pollution, damage or leakage. In case of any problem, you can refuse loading and notify Calais immediately for replacement or container maintenance.

2. No overloading: The upper limits of the weight of goods in regulations on international railway combined transportation are as follows: 21.5 tons/20'; 26.5 tons/40'; there are more weight restrictions on railway wagons. For details, please consult with TMT.

3. No unbalance loading: Unbalance loading will affect railway loading operation and seriously affect driving safety. It is required that the gravity of goods must be in the centre. The distance between the gravity of goods and the centre of intersection line at the bottom of container should not exceed 10cm, so as to ensure balance loading.

4. Goods reinforcement: Poor reinforcement of goods in container will result in goods movement and even vehicle overturn when vehicle makes a turn, and will seriously affect the safety of goods.

6. After loading is completed, please supervise driver's sealing container; both parties should sign to take over seal number and container number.

5. It would be better to number the goods as per container number and affixed them with clear marks, which should be accurately reflected on packing list, so as to facilitate goods handling and inspection by customs.

The information on goods on the authorization letter of goods consignment must be consistent with the information on actual forwarding and information on the freight note, especially product description, weight and volume, etc., or else it will result in non-consistence in freight and even penalty.
